Install this script on your AWTRIX NG. Its icons and sounds are installed with it.

Your AWTRIX’s local address, for example 192.168.178.39 or awtrix.local.

The name shown in your AWTRIX script list. Use letters, digits, hyphens or underscores.

Connection & device login

Connect your phone or computer to the same network as your AWTRIX. Allow local network access if your browser asks.

Use the device’s IP address, without a page path such as /#/apps.

If your AWTRIX requires a login, the username and password fields will appear when you connect.

Sign in to the Hub to install scripts. Attached files are installed separately.

Script description

cita brings pleasant quotes on your clock – quietly, as a small surprise now and then.

The quote pops up a few times at random moments within your chosen time window, scrolls through once and makes way for the next app. Most of the time, cita stays quiet - till it suprises you, again.

  • Display: TC-002 shows the quote on top and the author below, TC-001 shows one line with the author appended.
  • English quotes: Quotes provided by ZenQuotes API
  • German quotes: zitat-service.de
  • No API key needed

cita bringt angenehme Zitate auf Deine Uhr – leise, als kleine Überraschung zwischendurch.

Das Zitat taucht im gewählten Zeitfenster ein paar Mal zu zufälligen Zeiten auf, läuft einmal durch und macht wieder Platz für die nächste App. Zu anderen Zeiten hält sich cita leise im Hintergrund.

  • Anzeige: TC-002 zeigt oben das Zitat und darunter den Autor, TC-001 eine Zeile mit angehängtem Autor.
