MatchdayAWTRIX NG script

Install this script on your AWTRIX NG. Its icons and sounds are installed with it.

Your AWTRIX’s local address, for example 192.168.178.39 or awtrix.local.

The name shown in your AWTRIX script list. Use letters, digits, hyphens or underscores.

Connection & device login

Connect your phone or computer to the same network as your AWTRIX. Allow local network access if your browser asks.

Use the device’s IP address, without a page path such as /#/apps.

If your AWTRIX requires a login, the username and password fields will appear when you connect.

Sign in to the Hub to install scripts. Attached files are installed separately.

Script description

A multi-league live score ticker for the TC002. Champions League on Tuesday and Wednesday, Europa and Conference League on Thursday, the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 at the weekend. There's no schedule to set up: Matchday reads today's fixtures for the leagues you follow and removes itself from the rotation when there are no games.

No API key or server is needed. Scores come from ESPN's public endpoints.

Settings

Open the gear on the Matchday row in the Apps tab.

Live refresh 45 s How often each live game is re-read

Show finished on Include today's final scores
Ticker speed 120% Scroll speed
Seconds a page 4 s Time on each game in pages mode

In pages mode, turn the knob to step through games.

Flags and crests

In pages mode, Champions, Europa and Conference League games show each club's national flag above its abbreviation. Other soccer leagues show the two team crests, with the status and score between them. The ticker shows text only.

Reading the display

  • Green: live, with the match minute
  • White and amber: upcoming, with the local kick-off time
  • Grey: finished
  • PPD / CAN: postponed or cancelled
  • NO SIGNAL, or a red status in pages mode: updates have been failing for 5 minutes

League paths

soccer/uefa.champions, soccer/uefa.europa, soccer/uefa.europa.conf, soccer/eng.1, soccer/esp.1, soccer/ger.1, soccer/ita.1, soccer/fra.1, soccer/usa.1 (MLS). Other ESPN league paths also work and show a short tag taken from the path.

Limitations

  • ESPN's endpoints are unofficial and can change without notice. Not affiliated with ESPN.
  • Scores lag the broadcast by a minute or so.
  • A long ticker holds the panel until the pass ends. On a busy Saturday, turn off finished games or use pages mode.
