SomaFM RadioAWTRIX NG script

Install this script on your AWTRIX NG. Its icons and sounds are installed with it.

Your AWTRIX’s local address, for example 192.168.178.39 or awtrix.local.

The name shown in your AWTRIX script list. Use letters, digits, hyphens or underscores.

Connection & device login

Connect your phone or computer to the same network as your AWTRIX. Allow local network access if your browser asks.

Use the device’s IP address, without a page path such as /#/apps.

If your AWTRIX requires a login, the username and password fields will appear when you connect.

Sign in to the Hub to install scripts. Attached files are installed separately.

Script description

Listen to SomaFM on your TC002's own speaker and see what's playing on the 52×16 display. It's commercial-free internet radio with no server or account needed.

Install this one and choose Install all. It brings along the tuner and the shared library, so you get three scripts from one page.

Getting started

Hold select, then choose Scripts → SomaFM and pick a channel. It keeps playing after the app closes.
While SomaFM plays, a card joins your normal rotation with the channel name, artist and title, plus equaliser bars in the channel's colour. When the radio is off, the card hides.
On the card

Turn the knob: switch between your favourites.
Press the knob: open the tuner, for all channels and Radio off.
In the tuner

Long-press the knob on a channel to make it a ★ favourite. Open the tuner once after installing, so the card learns your favourites.
On the now-playing screen, the knob sets the volume.
The tuner must keep the name SomaFM, which Install all sets for you.
