Script description

What it does

Displays your remaining Codex allowance alongside a selectable animated companion:

  • Top row: Time until reset, in grey.
  • Bottom row: Percentage left, in white.
  • Multiple usage limits rotate when available.

Runs directly on the clock. No computer helper, API key, pairing key, or separate icon downloads are required.

Requirements

  • AWTRIX NG v1.2.2 on a TC002 display.
  • Internet access for the clock.
  • A ChatGPT account with Codex access.
  • A browser to complete sign-in.

Setup

  1. Install the script and open its app settings using the gear button.
  2. Enable Signed in / start sign-in, then save.
  3. Wait for the clock to display ENTER CODE.
  4. Wait at least six seconds, navigate away from app settings, then return. Copy the code from Device sign-in code.
  5. Open Codex device sign-in, enter the code, and complete sign-in. If needed, enable device-code login in your ChatGPT account’s Security settings.
  6. After successful sign-in, the clock displays your companion, reset countdown, and percentage left.

The settings page does not refresh the code automatically. Navigate away and return to see changes, including the cleared code after successful sign-in.

Do not edit the code field or click Save during sign-in—saving restarts the app. Codes expire after 15 minutes.

Customization

In app settings, choose your companion, toggle animation, adjust the refresh interval, and set the app’s time in the normal display rotation.

Signing out

Keep Signed in / start sign-in enabled while using the app.

To sign out, disable it and save. This clears the credentials stored by the script on the clock. Enable it and save again to start a new sign-in.

Troubleshooting

  • Blank code field: Wait six seconds, navigate away from settings, then return.
  • Expired code: Disable the sign-in switch and save, then enable it and save to try again.
  • Managed account: Your administrator may need to allow device-code login.

Credentials are stored on the clock. Do not share the script’s Data contents or screenshots containing sign-in details.

This is an unofficial community integration. Codex authentication and usage endpoints may change.
