Script description

Climb a mountain one room at a time. Run, jump, climb walls and dash in eight directions through 24 rooms in three chapters: the forest, the ruins and the snowy summit.

Play it in your browser: Summit. It runs on AWTRIX NG's own engine compiled to WebAssembly, so no clock is needed. Use the keyboard, a gamepad, or your phone as the gamepad (scan the code under Controls → Your phone).

The climb:

  • 24 rooms, one per screen. Leave each room to the right, or through the top where it is open.
  • Dash once in the air, in eight directions. The climber's hair shows whether the dash is ready: red, or blue when it is used. It comes back on the ground.
  • Wall jumps: jump at a wall to jump off it, hold towards it to slide down slowly.
  • Crystals give the dash back in the air, springs throw you up, crumbling rock falls half a second after you stand on it, ledges can be jumped through from below. Spikes hurt only when you move into them.
  • 19 strawberries to find.
  • Fall or touch spikes, and the room starts again.

Every room is possible, and needs what it teaches:

  • A solver searched every room on the game's own physics and found a way through, with its strawberry.
  • The game is played start to finish with those inputs on every change: to the top, with all strawberries and no death.
  • Each room was also searched without its dash, crystals, springs, crumbling rock or wall jump. A crystal room cannot be done without its crystal.

More:

  • A title screen, a banner for each chapter, and a pause with the room, your strawberries and deaths.
  • Your time, strawberries and deaths at the top.
  • The climb is saved: go on where you left off, or start a new climb.
  • A quiet tune for each chapter, made with the TC002's synthesizer.
  • Unlimited dashes as an assist mode, if you want to see it all. The best time then does not count.

Controls:

  • Gamepad: D-pad or left stick to run, A to jump, B, X or R1 to dash, START to pause. On the title, Y starts a new climb.
  • Knob: press it to pause.

Needs a gamepad: a Bluetooth gamepad paired with the clock, or your phone as the gamepad.
