Navidrome now playingAWTRIX NG script

Install this script on your AWTRIX NG. Its icons and sounds are installed with it.

Your AWTRIX’s local address, for example 192.168.178.39 or awtrix.local.

The name shown in your AWTRIX script list. Use letters, digits, hyphens or underscores.

Connection & device login

Connect your phone or computer to the same network as your AWTRIX. Allow local network access if your browser asks.

Use the device’s IP address, without a page path such as /#/apps.

If your AWTRIX requires a login, the username and password fields will appear when you connect.

Sign in to the Hub to install scripts. Attached files are installed separately.

Script description

Navidrome now playing

Shows the artist and track currently playing on your Navidrome server. The script calls the Subsonic API of your Navidrome server. Can display album art or a static icon. The script is skipped if nothing is playing.

Panels: 52x16 only

Setup and config

The now-playing API is located at:

https://(YOUR_NAVIDROME_URL):(PORT)/rest/getNowPlaying?u=(USERNAME)&t=(TOKEN)&s=(SALT)&v=(VERSION)&c=(CLIENT_NAME)

You can configure this by entering the required fields in the config:

  • Protocol: http or https
  • Server: url of your music server (e.g. music.mydomain.net)
  • Port number: your Navidrome port, default is 4533 (if you're behind a reverse proxy it will be 443)
  • Username: your Navidrome username (e.g. admin)
  • Salt: a random string, used to obscure your password (see token)
  • Token: create an MD5 hash of your password + salt (e.g. md5("secretPasswordxyz123") → 89e52516104bc122e23927bc9a08e7ff)
  • Version: the API version, default "1.16.1"
  • Client: a unique string identifying your client application
