Romy's Snail TimerAWTRIX NG script

Install this script on your AWTRIX NG. Its icons and sounds are installed with it.

IP address or hostname

Your AWTRIX’s local address, for example 192.168.178.39 or awtrix.local.

Script name

The name shown in your AWTRIX script list. Use letters, digits, hyphens or underscores.

Connection & device login

Connect your phone or computer to the same network as your AWTRIX. Allow local network access if your browser asks.

Use the device’s IP address, without a page path such as /#/apps.

If your AWTRIX requires a login, the username and password fields will appear when you connect.

Unable to connect? Download the script and add it in the Scripts section of your AWTRIX.

Command line

My daughter likes to dawdle in the morning. To make sure we don't arrive late for school, I built this snail timer.

You can set a time for when the snail starts crawling, when it reaches the finish line, and on which days of the week the app should start.

The app displays either the current time or the remaining minutes, and the color of the snail’s trail changes depending on how urgent it is.

I hope some parents find this helpful, too. ;)
