Bitcoin + Ethereum USDAWTRIX NG script

Install this script on your AWTRIX NG. Its icons and sounds are installed with it.

Your AWTRIX’s local address, for example 192.168.178.39 or awtrix.local.

The name shown in your AWTRIX script list. Use letters, digits, hyphens or underscores.

Connection & device login

Connect your phone or computer to the same network as your AWTRIX. Allow local network access if your browser asks.

Use the device’s IP address, without a page path such as /#/apps.

If your AWTRIX requires a login, the username and password fields will appear when you connect.

Script description

Live BTC and ETH prices together on the TC002's 52x16 display. No API key or Home Assistant automation required.

FEATURES

  • Bitcoin on the top row, rounded to the nearest dollar; Ethereum below, shown to cents.
  • Coinbase USD spot prices, refreshed every 60 seconds by default, including while the app is hidden.
  • Green/red compares with the previous successful refresh; white means unchanged. This is NOT a 24-hour change indicator.
  • Amber indicates missing data or a quote older than five minutes.
  • Checks HTTP status, JSON shape, ticker, currency and positive amounts. Bad responses never replace a good quote.
  • Bounded polling, one outstanding request per coin; no retry storms during failures.
  • Adjustable refresh interval (30-900 seconds) and display duration (3-60 seconds).
  • Optional MQTT telemetry topic, disabled by default. No credentials in the script.

SETUP
Install on AWTRIX NG on a Ulanzi TC002. Internet access to api.coinbase.com is required. Fetching starts automatically. Last good prices remain in memory during an outage, but are not restored after reboot: the app shows ... until fresh quotes arrive.

This separately published BTC+ETH variant replaces the single-coin fetch/parser, adds a two-row TC002 layout and explicitly handles errors, polling and stale quotes. It is not an update to Avemer's listing.

TESTED
Ulanzi TC002, AWTRIX NG 1.2.2. Both prices fetched, multiple automatic 60-second refreshes verified, actual device frame visually checked. No other apps or device settings changed.
